The Director Regional Operations provides strategic and operational leadership across multiple client sites within Exentec's Technical Facility Management organization. This role is responsible for ensuring world-class safety performance, operational excellence, financial discipline, and client satisfaction.
The position operates within a 24x7 environment supporting mission-critical manufacturing and research operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high sense of urgency, the ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, and the capacity to work collaboratively as part of Exentec's global team. The scope of the role will manage all sites in a region typically consisting of up to 20 sites and more than 450 employees.

Travel of up to 50% should be expected to support site operations, client meetings, and regional development initiatives.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities
  • Champion Exentec's "Incident Free Workplace" culture and lead by example across all sites.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and client EHS programs, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee incident reviews, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement across the organization to reduce TRIR and safety risks.
  • Promote proactive hazard identification and risk mitigation behaviors across all levels of staff* Deliver consistent operational performance that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Oversee site teams in the operations and maintenance service delivery of gas, chemical, electrical, UPW, wastewater and mechanical utilities that enable client production.
  • Manage and improve KPIs focused on uptime, reliability, preventive maintenance, and response time.
  • Lead site assessments, root cause analyses, and performance improvement initiatives to ensure quality and delivery standards are met.
  • Own regional P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
  • Manage operational costs and ensure alignment with contract deliverables and corporate financial goals.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, variance analyses, and improvement plans.
  • Support cost modeling, pricing development, and proposal preparation for new and renewed scopes of work.
  • Serve as the primary regional liaison for client executives and site leadership.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and ensure alignment between Exentec's operational performance and client priorities.
  • Build and sustain long-term partnerships through transparency, reliability, and results.
  • Anticipate evolving client needs and proactively develop solutions that enhance value.
  • Identify and evaluate regional growth opportunities, including contract expansions and adjacent market segments.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development and Estimating teams to develop proposals, pricing, and presentations.
  • Represent Exentec's technical capability, operational reliability, and commitment to safety in all external engagements.
  • Build, mentor, and sustain a high-performing technical operations team across all sites.
  • Develop clear performance expectations, career pathways, and succession plans within the organization.
  • Lead through accountability, recognition, and ongoing coaching to reinforce Exentec's culture of operational excellence.
  • Promote continuous learning and professional growth through training, certification programs, and cross-site knowledge sharing.
  • Create an environment where employees understand how their work directly supports client success and Exentec's mission.
  • Leadership & People Development: Proven ability to lead diverse teams, mentor managers, and sustain a high-performance culture.
  • High Sense of Urgency: Operates with focus and discipline in a 24x7, high-stakes environment where client uptime is critical.
  • Strategic & Tactical Execution: Skilled in connecting corporate goals to regional strategies and daily operational priorities.
  • Technical Knowledge: Broad understanding of facility systems supporting high-tech, biopharma, and data center operations.
  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrated strength in P&L management, cost control, and capital planning.
  • Problem Solving: Analytical and systematic approach to issue resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Communication: Strong written, verbal, and executive presentation skills across internal and client organizations.
  • Global Collaboration: Ability to coordinate and align with Exentec teams and clients across multiple regions and time zones.
Show your expertise

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field, experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
* Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Technical Facility Management or Operations Management, ideally in a semiconductor, BLS or high-tech manufacturing environment.
* Experience leading multi-site or regional portfolios supporting mission-critical operations.
* Proven success in client management, financial performance, and team development.
* Strong working knowledge of EHS compliance, reliability programs, and a background in TGCM, UPW, WWT or Cleanroom Mechanical is preferred.
* Ability to travel up to 50% and respond to urgent operational issues as required.
