Within Talent & Inclusion is our newly formed Learning & Development team supporting TheCampus@Informa - who support Global Support and Informa's B2B Divisions by increasing colleague capability at scale and empowering our people to engage, learn and grow.

Job Description

The Head of Learning - Enabling is a critical role within TheCampus@Informa, responsible for setting the direction, strategy and delivery of learning and skills initially across the Business Operations Pillar. Over time further Pillars may join this portfolio.

This role leads the team responsible for designing, delivering, and evolving the impact these Academies have across our business to ensure high-performing people managers, operational excellence, and functional capability across Informa to support our 50% internal mobility target.

The Operations Pillar builds essential business capability in functional areas such as Onboarding. Business Process Improvement, Financial Literacy & Budgeting, Operational Efficiency, Procurement Fundamentals, Technology, Project Management, Data and Analytical skills.

Reporting to the VP of B2B Learning & Development and working in partnership with senior business and HR leaders, this role ensures all learning is strategically aligned to business priorities, consistently delivered across divisions, and enhanced by our AI-powered learning ecosystem, Elysia. They translate business needs into clear, impactful pillar plans, providing leadership and continuous improvement to their team of Learning Partners and Learning Facilitators to deliver measurable performance outcomes and support colleague growth at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Conduct regular consultative sessions with HR and business leaders.
  • Use data and Elysia-generated insights to anticipate skill gaps and inform pillar development.
  • Build long-term partnerships to embed learning into workflows.
  • Translate skills needs into a clear, impactful skills and pillar strategy.
  • Align learning outcomes with Informa's "Skills at Scale" ambition and the One Informa strategy.
  • Support the delivery of learning that is inclusive, engaging, and globally scalable.

Team and Performance Management

  • Conduct monthly reviews and performance check-ins with direct reports.
  • Foster a high-performance culture that values creativity, agility, and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with the VP to shape pillar roles and structures as needed.
  • Upskill team members to use AI to co-create learning plans and generate role-relevant practice scenarios.

Programme Management

  • Engage in the wider T&I strategy acting as the learning expert and potential delivery support e.g. Onboarding, Career Support, Talent, Leadership and Succession.
  • Lead the co-creation of full skills learning pathways with Partners and Facilitators
  • Ensure each programme integrates AI-supported elements (e.g., pre or post activities).
  • Champion digital, blended, and experiential formats for modern learner preferences.
  • Deliver a minimum of 10 hours of strategic or senior level learning sessions monthly.
  • Embed Elysia within every step of pillar design: use for prompt generation, content curation, and performance support and diagnostics.

Budget & Operational Oversight

  • Manage pillar budget allocations, track ROI of training programmes.
  • Ensure system integrations (e.g., Absorb LMS, MyTalent) are optimized through the support of the Campus Technology & Data Lead.
  • Approve the implementation of learning events and digital programmes globally.
  • Own and deliver cross-pillar strategic projects (e.g., Key Colleague or Management programmes, Global Learning Weeks).
  • Analyse engagement and completion trends via PowerBI dashboards for continuous improvement.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Learning adoption target: 15+ hours per colleague of recorded learning per year (captured in PowerBI Dashboard).
  • Facilitation delivery: 10+ hours/month.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction NPS or equivalent: 85+.
  • Learner satisfaction/quality scores target: +85%.
  • 85% of Pillar learning initiatives utilise Elysia.
  • Budget spend and ROI on programme investment (tracked quarterly).
Qualifications
  • Significant experience learning and development, talent, or HR roles, ideally in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven record of delivering scalable and impactful digital and skills-based programmes.
  • Familiarity with learning systems (LMS, authoring tools).
  • Awareness or use of AI in learning and upskilling programmes.
  • Expert analytical, facilitation, and influencing skills.

The salary range for this role is $80,000- $100,000 based on experience.
