Description

The Rehabilitation Programs and Restorative Services Bureau is a fulfillment of the District Attorney's promise to ensure that the Queens District Attorney's Office administers justice with compassion. The Bureau consists of the Diversion and Alternative Sentencing Unit, which is dedicated to ensuring that individuals who have been arrested are offered opportunities for appropriate interventions and/or rehabilitative services, and the Crime Victims Advocate Program.

The manager will perform the following job functions, including but not limited to:



  • Assist the Bureau Chief in running the day-to-day operations of the Alternative Sentencing Unit and the Crime Victims Advocate Program including management of ADAs and support professionals assigned to the bureau.
  • Monitor cases and collaborate with the court, defense bar, Assistant District Attorneys and other stakeholders.
  • Serve on various interagency committees and attend multidisciplinary meetings to strategize about individual cases, treatment, and service delivery challenges to improve case outcomes.
  • Compile and analyze data, maintain statistics, and draft case summaries; analyze trends and prepare management reports and annual staff evaluations.
  • Attend community meetings and events, including some during evening hours and on weekends.
  • Prepare and present legal and educational training for ADAs, service providers, community groups and other agencies.


Qualifications:



  • At least 8 years of post-JD experience in Criminal Justice or related field.
  • Supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience collaborating with government agencies and non-profit organizations.
  • Strong organizational, written, and oral skills.
  • Ability to succeed in fast-paced high-volume atmosphere


Title and salary will be commensurate with experience. Salary range from $128,000 to $180,000
