Overview

The Senior Pharmacometrics Scientist advances pre-clinical and clinical pharmacology research through expertise in pharmacokinetic (PK), pharmacodynamic (PD), and physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling. This role collaborates with investigators to design studies, develop computational strategies, and generate hypotheses that drive impactful discoveries. The scientist performs rigorous data analyses to enable clear interpretation of complex research findings. They mentor the research community on modeling concepts, contribute to scientific publications, and present results across internal and external forums. In partnership with the Biostatistics and Computational Biology Core, they enhance and integrate analytical solutions to strengthen institutional research capabilities.

Responsibilities

    Performs data analysis utilizing expertise in population pharmacokinetic (PK), pharmacodynamic (PD), and Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling approaches
  • Report research results
  • Helps with study designs for clinical pharmacology research studies
  • Assist with the preparation of research grants
  • Educate clinical investigators, researchers, and trainees on principles related to the study design and analysis of data from clinical pharmacology studies


Qualifications

  • Ph.D. Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacometrics and 3-5 years experience Experience in analysis of data from pre-clinical and clinical pharmacology studies, including PK modeling. Experience in PK modeling software such as NONMEM, Phoenix WinNonlin, Simcyp, PKsim, GastroPlus. Experience using R/RStudio for data modeling and visualization or
  • Master's Degree Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mathematical Modeling, Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacometrics and 5-7 years experience Experience in analysis of data from pre-clinical and clinical pharmacology studies, including PK modeling. Experience in PK modeling software such as NONMEM, Phoenix WinNonlin, Simcyp, PKsim, GastroPlus. Experience using R/RStudio for data modeling and visualization

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $44.05/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.



Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
