TITLE: Plant Manager


POSITION OBJECTIVE: Provides technical support, vendor communication, and interface with other departments to ensure plant meets capacity and achieve performance targets.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in an OPP manufacturing facility.
  • At least 5 years of experience must have a supervisory or managerial position
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering preferred, or equivalent practical experience that demonstrates the required knowledge and skills.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Establish and direct organization to operate plant facilities.
  • Administer the recruitment and training of the facility.
  • Develop and administer employee and community relation programs to foster harmonious employee and public relations.
  • Develop and administer corporate programs such as cost reduction, capital expenditure, energy conservation, industrial hygiene, safety and housekeeping programs for plant operations.
  • Assist in the procurement of equipment and facilities, and provide adequate maintenance to ensure the manufacture of product line to appropriate specification.
  • Provide necessary customer service and foster customer relations.
  • Communicate to the organization the importance of meeting customer requirements, as well as statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that quality objectives are established.
  • Conduct management reviews, as well as individual Plant Management Reviews.
  • Ensure the availability of resources through Management Reviews and Annual Budget Reviews.
  • Ensure that customer requirements are continuously determined and are met with the aim of enhancing customer satisfaction through utilization of the internal plant specifications and guidelines, and Customer Special Specifications / Instructions.
  • Ensure that the quality policy is appropriate to the purpose of the organization, includes a commitment to comply with requirements and continually improve the effectiveness of the quality management system, provides a framework for establishing and reviewing quality objectives, is communicated and understood within the organization, and is reviewed for continuing suitability by NJ HQ function.
  • Ensure that the planning of the quality management system is carried out in order to meet the requirements given in 4.1 of the Quality Manual, as well as the quality objectives, and the integrity of the quality management system is maintained when changes to the quality management system are planned and implemented,
  • Evaluate and audit Production performance and improve it.
  • Evaluate and approve of the incentive programs.
  • Coordinate all sections to resolve production abnormalities and generate improvement.
  • Manage to achieve a reasonable inventory of packaging supplies.
  • Evaluate and approve of monthly inventory reports.



WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:



  • Manufacturing environment.



OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES:



  • Literate in Microsoft Office and have the ability to analyze data.
  • Some travel is required.
  • Some night and weekend work will be required.
