This opportunity is in the Account Services department.

Responsible for seeing policies through to the finish line, our Account Services department facilitates the processes between Claims, Underwriting, and our brokers. Ranging from rating services to audits to operational guidance, the available career opportunities are abundant with varying levels of specialty. Role Description:

Imagine being the trusted expert who ensures accuracy and integrity in insurance premium calculations. As a Premium Auditor at Safety National, you'll conduct physical and virtual audits across various lines of commercial insurance-including workers' compensation and general liability-by examining policyholder financial and operational records. You'll apply your strong analytical skills and technical knowledge to verify exposures, identify misclassifications, and ensure earned premiums are calculated correctly. Your work will help maintain regulatory compliance and uphold industry standards, while your professional communication skills will shine through as you engage with policyholders, brokers, and internal teams. Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

Required Qualifications:



  • 2 or more years of experience in premium audit, accounting, financial analysis, or commercial insurance
  • Technical knowledge of workers' compensation, commercial auto, and general liability audit standards, including NCCI/ISO/PAAS classification rules
  • Ability to analyze payroll reports, financial statements, and audit-related documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on professionalism and clarity
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle challenging conversations
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience performing multi-state commercial audits
  • Professional certifications such as APA, AU, or CPCU preferred or willingness to pursue
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, including occasional overnight travel

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
