Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for a highly motivated individual to serve as a Market Leader in our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Building Engineering group. This exciting opportunity is available at our Sacramento, CA office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify potential new markets and service lines
  • Developing a comprehensive and cohesive marketing strategy in coordination with leadership
  • Identifying, developing, and closing business opportunities through client relationships
  • Contributing to business and strategic planning efforts
  • Identifying and developing teaming relationships with large and small partner business firms
  • Participating with project teams at key milestones
  • Maintaining client relationships for program and project success
  • Other tasks as assigned.

A valid driver's license and frequent travel (approximately 60%) will be required.

The successful candidate must have all the following:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in architecture, engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years within a relevant industry

OR

  • If no degree, must have at least 9 years of relevant marketing experience, including at least 5 years within a relevant industry.

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

  • At least 15 years of relevant AEC industry experience
  • Existing strong client relationships
  • A track record of business development success
  • Experience developing and executing capture plans
  • Experience building project teams with internal resources and teaming partner firms
  • Experience in developing proposals and leading interviews
  • Experience leading vertical planning, design and construction projects
  • A professional license in architecture or engineering
  • Experience or familiarity with generative AI-driven tools, platforms, or systems (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, Chat GPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and reduce errors

Salary Range: $165,000 to $205,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
