Job Description
Mizzou Advancement seeks a dynamic team member to support the Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Advancement - Constituent Units. The successful candidate will oversee complex and strategic scheduling, as well as high-level relationship management, utilizing excellent judgment, discretion, and confidentiality as necessary. Primary Job Responsibilities: Effective Communication and Professional Administrative Work:
- Assists with reviewing and verifying fundraising performance metrics, including major gift proposals, contact reports, and fundraising reports for significant schools and colleges at the University of Missouri.
- Review/verify information on departmental income and expense statements against departmental records and make corrections when appropriate to ensure that the statement is accurate and complete, using knowledge of university accounting procedures.
- Receive/check/approve and sign requisitions, vouchers, forms, and documents for AVC (or under your own signature) to ensure that requisition vouchers are approved/distributed promptly using knowledge of appropriate purchases/expenditures to be made.
- Compile timesheet summaries (reporting all leave time) in PeopleSoft and process monthly OneCard charges.
Logistics, Scheduling, and Planning:
- Provide support for various external events, including, but not limited to, donor recognition and fundraising activities.
- Help with scheduling meetings and appointments for AVC and other parties-via emails or phone calls-gathering and summarizing information requests for meetings as necessary.
- Book travel arrangements for AVC, including flights, hotels, and other travel reservations.
- Support the coordination and scheduling of staff and volunteer committees.
- Assist with coordinating the annual planning process for schools, colleges, and units.
Shift
M-F 8am-5pm with occasional event support
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
* Three years of related experience in business administration, personnel administration, or higher education administration is preferred. * Proficient use of PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access; familiarity with PeopleSoft and Advance is preferred. * Strong preference will be given to candidates with excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work on multiple projects at once, and professional credibility. Successful candidates will have the following characteristics: 1. Diplomatic demeanor 2. Positive attitude 3. Ability to keep information confidential 4. Superior problem-solving skills 5. Impeccable judgement.
Anticipated Hiring Range
