As the Analyst, Procurement and Materials Planning - Packaging at Tru Fru, you will manage material planning, forecasting, and inventory strategies across a multi-site, multi-vendor network. You will partner cross-functionally to ensure packaging availability, optimize safety stock, minimize obsolescence, and support network expansions, reformulations, and new supplier onboarding through data-driven analysis and continuous process improvement.

What you'll do



  • Develop & maintain planning tools to track ingredient inventory for multi-site, multi-category/brand, and multi-vendor network.
  • Recommend optimized network wide ingredient safety stock targets, replenishment processes, KPIs.
  • Issue monthly and ad hoc ingredient forecasts to suppliers and internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Review ingredients contact balance report with Procurement and communicate updates to co-manufacturers.
  • Provide risk analysis on ingredient waste for Finance to accrue.
  • Track reformulations and network reconfiguration projects to deliver obsolescence at or within budgeted allowance. Articulate and broadcast outlier obsolescence to cross functional team.
  • Manage and execute ingredient material supply strategy for new co-manufacturing locations ramp up. Responsible for developing and implementing best practices with new co-man material planning counterpart.
  • Onboard new ingredient suppliers from material planning perspective. To involve communicating clear forecast requirements on an established cadence for supplier's production capacity planning.
  • Initiate in-network transfers of ingredients to minimize risk of obsolescence and mitigate risk to service due to material shortage or delay.
  • Manage materials related inputs in systems (Blue Yonder, SAP, Reltio, etc.).


What you'll bring to tru fru

You are...




  • A professional with experience liaising with suppliers, co-manufacturers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Skilled in material planning, inventory management, and maintaining target safety stock levels.
  • Experienced in scenario planning and analyzing demand fluctuations to support purchasing decisions.
  • Knowledgeable in maintaining strategy documents, including lead times, MOQs, shelf life, and other key planning parameters.
  • Detail-oriented and able to document processes clearly in SOPs.
  • Collaborative and able to train and support new hires effectively.



You have...




  • 3-5 years of experience in a material planning or supply planning role.
  • 1-2 years of project management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Experience developing planning strategies for a complex product portfolio.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a Tier 1 ERP system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience working in a multi-site, multi-vendor network.



Pluses



  • APICS Certification
  • Vendor management experience (CPG industry is a plus).
  • Experience working through systems implementations.
