Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


Responsibilities for this Position

We are seeking a highly skilled systems engineer with integration & test experience with a strong background in submarine sonar systems. In this role, you will be responsible for numerous phases of requirements management, test procedure development, software integration and testing both in our lab and at partner sites as the team rapidly develops and fields both prototypes and production software releases. You will work closely with a team of software engineers and systems engineers to integrate and test software solutions that meet our customers' needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participation in the software engineering lifecycle, from requirements gathering, analysis and documentation to production support and maintenance
  • Integration and testing of software artifacts in support of customer requirements
  • Developing test procedures and running official, customer witnessed performance verification tests
  • Verifying, testing and maintaining automated software installation and testing at customer site
  • Finding, investigating, documenting, and resolving defects in Systems

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge of and experience using Linux
  • Knowledge of and experience with networked computer systems
  • Ability to work with and communicate well with entire software development team
  • A quick learner and adaptable to new technologies
  • Able to work independently and in a team using agile development processes
  • Knowledge of and experience with Navy Sonar Systems

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge of and experience with C/C++, Java, Python and Bash scripts
  • Knowledge of and experience using Jira and TestRail
  • Knowledge of and experience using Hashicorp Consul
  • Knowledge of and experience working in virtualized environments such as VMWare, VirtualBox, Podman & Docker
  • Knowledge of and experience using Git & Gitlab
  • Knowledge of Hardware Test equipment (Signal generator/analyzer and Oscilloscope for example)
  • Generating operating and recovery procedures and logistics documentation
  • Familiarity with SWFTS (Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical System) and ARCI (Acoustic Rapid COTS Insertion)
