Sr Advanced Systems Engineer

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

• Provide senior technical expertise and guidance for systems engineering activities across payload systems programs
• Lead requirements management, architecture development, and technical solutions that balance customer needs with program objectives
• Drive collaboration across multidisciplinary teams including hardware, software, and cyber-security engineers to deliver integrated solutions
• Lead design reviews, communicate technical strategies to development teams, and provide expert guidance on system design decisions
• Resolve highly complex technical issues, drive research initiatives, champion MBSE implementation, and mentor systems engineering team members
• Support program reviews and customer engagements with technical expertise and documentation
• Champion systems engineering best practices, processes, and toolset optimization

• Expert-level knowledge of systems engineering principles with proven track record of delivering complex payload systems
• Recognized technical expert with ability to guide architectural discussions and drive technical excellence
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences
• Strategic thinker who balances technical innovation with program objectives and business needs
• Strong collaborator who mentors team members and drives success across organizational boundaries
• Deep understanding of technology trends with demonstrated ability to champion innovation and process improvements
• Proven ability to effectively handle complex assignments and navigate challenging problems with diverse stakeholders

• 10+ years of progressive systems engineering experience with significant technical depth
• Expert proficiency with requirements management tools (DOORS, Jira, Jama) and systems modeling tools (MagicDraw, Cameo)
• Extensive experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) implementation and mapping to software/hardware development
• Proven experience with Agile or SCRUM methodologies with strong understanding of task planning and technical forecasting
• Comprehensive knowledge of payload systems, naval systems, or complex defense applications

Target salary range: USD $142,696.00/Yr. - USD $158,303.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
