Position Summary:

Broad responsibility and leadership for overall operation of 14 CFR Part 145, Part 120 regulated repair station for Hydraulics Systems Division. Implements the Parker Lean system and Win Strategy to ensure a safe work environment, maximize profitable growth, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop a technically qualified workforce, reduce operating costs, inventories and lead times through continuous improvements. Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly expectations.

Scope/ Supervision and Interaction:

  • Has Direct Reports

Provides leadership for operation employees. Coordinates cross-functional activities that may include any or all of the following: Sales & Marketing, Design Engineering, Applications Engineering, Inventory Control and Production. Interacts with current and prospective customers, Sales Representatives & Distributors, all levels of the Division.

Responsibilities:

  • Profitably grow the business and achieve Kalamazoo goals monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Establishes and maintains premier customer service through delivering quality products on time.
  • Leads strategy deployment for the operations team concentrating on Operational Efficiency
  • Accountable for driving Lean Initiatives throughout the operation to ensure they are fully embraced and implemented.
  • Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development. Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy
  • Partners with the Customer Service organization interfacing with major aerospace customers of R&O.
  • Creates the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work/processes are followed, countermeasures implemented, and the area is compliant with safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • B.A. /B.S. degree in a related technical or business discipline. Demonstrated ability to perform in the described role and responsibilities and obtain the desired results; an MBA is desirable.
  • Minimum of seven years of major professional accomplishments, including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope and complexity. Previous P&L ownership experience required.
  • Experience working within 14 CFR Part 145, Part 120 regulated environment, preferred
  • Strong understanding of FAA, EASA, and CAAC Flight Standards rules and regulations, preferred
  • Sufficient experience and background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resources management, inventory control and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results by meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem-solving resolution skills and a team focus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to management, customers, and employees.
