Quality Assurance Intern

The AMSOIL Quality team is looking for a Quality Assurance Intern for summer 2026. The summer internship program typically begins after spring semester and ends before the start of the fall semester. This is an exciting opportunity for students who are highly motivated, enjoy a challenge, and are looking to expand their career. This position reports on-site to the AMSOIL Center in Superior, Wisconsin.


Core Responsibilities:



  • Identifying, analyzing, and eliminating packaging defects through proactive quality management.
  • Record non-conformances or defects of raw materials or finished products.
  • Collect and analyze defect data and identify and communicate any trends to the Quality Team.
  • Collaborate with teams and contribute to root cause analyses to resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions, focusing on process improvements.
  • Assist with data collection and analysis during the qualification of new packaging materials and equipment.
  • Support documentation of test results and performance validation.
  • Work on specific projects assigned by the Quality Team, such as creating quality metrics dashboards or assisting with production floor audits.


Position Requirements:



  • Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Must have completed Sophomore year.
  • Available 40 hours/week Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the summer months.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Can work and enjoys working independently with little to no supervision.
  • Excellent organization skills with a keen attention to detail.
