The AMSOIL Sourcing team is looking for a Sourcing Intern for summer 2026. This internship provides hands-on exposure to supplier quality, inventory control, and strategic sourcing initiatives within a manufacturing environment. The summer internship program typically begins after spring semester and ends before the start of the fall semester. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated student who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, and learning how sourcing decisions impact quality, cost, and supply continuity. This position is on-site at AMSOIL's Corporate Headquarters in Superior, Wisconsin, and reports to the Sourcing team.


Core Responsibilities:



  • Assist with supplier quality improvement initiatives and cost analysis activities, including basic supplier evaluations and performance comparisons.
  • Review current lot control practices for outsourced products, identify gaps, and support analysis and recommendations to advance lot control efforts.
  • Contribute to inventory control and labeling improvement projects by reviewing current workflows and assessing opportunities for enhanced consistency and compliance.
  • Conduct market research on potential domestic and international suppliers, including comparison of capabilities, risks, and advantages.
  • Support cost benchmarking projects (such as filter sourcing) by gathering performance specifications, pricing data, and summarizing findings for the sourcing team.


Position Requirements:



  • Must be working towards a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
  • Must have completed Sophomore year.
  • Available 40 hours/week Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the summer months.
  • Coursework, interest, or foundational understanding in areas such as sourcing, inventory management, or operations.
  • Interest in working with data to support analysis and decisionmaking.
  • Ability to organize information, document processes, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
