Job Description




As a Unarmed Security Officer - Media Site in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech campus, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, support access control, and help identify and report security-related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will stay highly visible, provide standout customer service, and communicate clearly with teams on site, bringing an agile, reliable, and integrity-driven approach every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor access control points and visitor processes, verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges when directed by site policy, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders when required.
  • Complete detailed reports and shift logs, document unusual activity, and communicate key information during post orders briefings and/or shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
