As an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, you will stay visible while conducting routine patrols, responding to security-related concerns, and assisting guests and associates with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post, so you will also use a vehicle to patrol designated areas and support site needs. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail setting.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales floors, stock areas, entrances, parking lots and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation efforts and requesting assistance from site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor for and report suspicious activity, potential theft and/or policy violations; document observations and actions taken per post orders.
• Complete detailed shift reports and incident reports, maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide directions and assistance to customers and associates.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
