Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Dispatch Desk in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch Officer supporting a fast-paced tech location, where you will coordinate security-related calls for service, monitor cameras and alarm systems, and dispatch officers to incidents and service requests. You will track activity in real time, document events, support access control workflows, and communicate clearly with site teams and first responders. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach to every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a technology and telecom location by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate the dispatch function by monitoring alarms, cameras, access control alerts and/or communication channels, then routing calls for service and coordinating responses with on-site personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and escalating notifications per post orders.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports, including incident details, shift activity, radio and phone communications and/or visitor and contractor activity as assigned.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, verifying doors, gates and restricted areas while noting unusual activity and changing conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2+ years of security experience.
  • Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or have a college degree.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
