Job Description

EBAD seeks an accomplished individual for the position of Production Manager reporting to the Sr. Manager, Operations in our Moorpark, CA facility.

The Production Manager is responsible to comprehensively plan and manage the execution of daily production activities required to support development programs within the Energetic Assemblies Value Stream. This position manages technicians and technical leads. The Production Manager oversees these roles in the logistics, coordination and execution of all tasks associated with product manufacturing.

Principal duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Collaboration with Production Scheduler to develop the production schedules and maintenance of the production visual board in each area, illustrating the status of the production activates for current programs.
  • Monthly planning of assembly and equipment resource loading / capacity planning utilizing MS project or MS Excel.
  • Developing the weekly work plan for Assemblers and allocate work.
  • Ensuring team objectives are met and visible through maintenance of SQDC boards.
    • Logging Safety performance and participation.
    • Logging NCRs and other Quality issues.
    • Logging on-time Delivery of major tasks, revenue lines and customer commitments.
    • Establishing daily targets for product lines and recording progress for Cost analysis.
    • Tracking execution of corrective actions and identification of systemic issues.
  • Bi-Weekly presentation of the SQDC and Production visual boards to senior management.
  • Leading and supporting daily / Weekly project team meetings.
  • Coordinating with the Product Engineering Lead to provide program execution oversight and guidance.
  • Coordinating with Product Engineers, Buyers, Quality Group and Development Engineers to ensure material flow, engineering and production activities are aligned and completed on-time to meet the program delivery requirements.
  • Evaluating production activities for continuous improvement opportunities.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an assembly or equivalent Aerospace production assembly/testing environment.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and assignments.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, verbally and in writing, to individuals at all levels and to cross-functional groups.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management
  • Good working knowledge of computers and applications such as ERP/MRP, proficient in MS Office Suite: Project, Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Ability to lead and motivate people, particularly a production assembly workforce environment
  • LEAN Manufacturing concept implementation experience preferred
  • Candidates must meet all requirements under BATFE and ITAR.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $110,000 - $135,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
