Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Perimeter Patrol in French Camp, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to situations with professionalism, clear communication, and strong customer service. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card or license, backed by Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and authorized visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Carry and maintain assigned duty weapon and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines, applicable laws, and site post orders, including completing required qualification training and documentation.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate responders, providing scene management until relieved, and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, retail areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identifying hazards and/or policy concerns and reporting them through the proper channels.
  • Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and/or log entries, and communicate security-related information to supervisors, site representatives, and/or responding agencies as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have an armed guard card and/or armed guard license.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
