As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Attendant in Brookwood, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer assigned to an industrial manufacturing location, you will manage access control at gates and entry points, verify credentials, log visitors and vehicles, and monitor activity for potential security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and communicate clearly with site teams and drivers. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies, including verifying identification and authorizations.
• Monitor and control entry and exit at gates, doors, and/or checkpoints, including visitor management, truck and delivery processing, and maintaining required logs and badges per location requirements.
• Observe alarms, cameras, and surrounding activity for unusual conditions, and report concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal management per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities and supporting first responders as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unsafe behaviors, and document findings in reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
