You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, manage access points as needed, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas and perimeter zones, checking doors, gates, lighting and restricted areas for unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordinating with onsite personnel and/or local responders, and completing required notifications.
• Control access at designated posts by verifying identification, authorizations and visitor logs, directing visitors and/or deliveries, and helping to manage entry during high-traffic periods.
• Document and report security-related activities, incidents and patrol observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and preserve observations for follow-up by appropriate authorities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
