Security Officer - Dispatch Operator

As a Security Officer - Dispatch Operator in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will coordinate security-related calls for service, monitor alarms and cameras, manage access control activity, and maintain clear radio and phone communication with on-site teams. You will help keep operations running smoothly by documenting incidents, supporting badge and visitor processes, and delivering high-touch customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology location.
• Dispatch officers and/or respond resources as needed by monitoring radio traffic, phones, and alarm notifications, and coordinating timely notifications to site contacts and emergency services when appropriate.
• Monitor access control systems, CCTV, and other security-related systems to help to identify unusual activity, and document observations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with scene management, communications, and reporting.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including the building perimeter and parking areas, as directed by site policy and post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
