Finance Management Trainee - San Leandro, CA

Position Purpose:

This is a 24-month program consisting of three 8-month rotations at three of the Lindt North America companies (Ghirardelli, Lindt (USA), Lindt (Canada).* The goal of the program is to provide a fast-track experience that prepares you for an impactful role in one of the Lindt companies upon completion. Your learning-based journey provides hands-on training in Commercial Finance, Operations & Manufacturing Finance and Accounting. The program provides a strong foundation for career growth while offering multiple ways for you to make an immediate impact. *This position will start at Ghirardelli in San Leandro, CA, then rotate to either Lindt USA in Stratham, NH USA or Toronto, ON Canada.

• Responsibilities will vary depending on the rotation & position

• Trainee will support their respective teams in running reports, supporting month end responsibilities, and any ad hoc analysis required




• Prepare Monthly standard reports
• Participate in sales & operating expense planning process
• Support the preparation of forecast & planning submissions




• Trainee will focus on a series of learning & development activities in each rotation to:




• Better understand the business (Commercial, Operations & Corporate controlling)
• Develop their financial acumen (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, etc.)
• Develop their professional skill set (Communication, Collaboration, Influencing, etc.)
• Gain cross functional exposure (i.e. Marketing, Sales, Operations, etc.)

Experience:

• Previous Finance Co-op/Internship or other practical experience in a CPG industry preferred
• Leadership experience, a plus (athletics, extra-curricular activities &/or community service)

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Banking (or similar)
• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

Other Requirements:

• Required to regularly sit at a workstation.
• Must be able to work seated or standing for at least 8 hours in a normal office environment.
• Must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time paying close attention to detail.
• Must be able to work with instructions that can be ambiguous.
• Must be able to work from the office at least three days per week.
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Pay: $23.00/hour + housing stipend + rental vehicle
