The Opportunity

Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) as a Cloud Service enables our customers to focus on crafting exceptional customer experiences rather than planning for product updates. With continuous access to the latest experience management innovations, they can create, manage, and deliver personalized experiences to growing audiences at scale.

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and deliver innovative, high-quality features for the AEM Cloud Service Platform. In this role, you will help architect, build, and operate high-traffic, mission-critical services that power some of the world's leading brands.

What You'll Do

  • Work in an Agile team to build and operate scalable services
  • Help engineer our platform strategy
  • Translate business requirements into architectural and implementation choices
  • Capture loosely defined requirements/concepts and expand them into complete solutions together with your team
  • Review and provide feedback on features, technology, architecture, designs
  • Define and implement DevOps components to operate the platform
  • Lead with a focus on customer engagement bridges the gap between internal infrastructure operations and the end-user experience
  • Own the reliability, performance, and operational readiness of the AEM CS components.
  • Leverage AI tools to automate repetitive operational work.

What You Need to Succeed

  • BS in Computer Science (or related field)
  • 8+ years of experience in Software Development with strong DevOps orientation and AI First mindset
  • Experience building services using Java, Python, JavaScript or Go
  • Experience in deploying and operating large scale, highly available, SaaS applications and cloud services; familiarity with Kubernetes, Jenkins, Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, Telemetry/Observability will be helpful
  • Strong working knowledge of modern software development methodologies and software design patterns & best practices (unit testing, build automation, continuous integration)
  • Ability to break-down sophisticated problems into a set of generalizable sub-problems and develop clean abstractions to encapsulate and handle complexity
  • Empathy with customers to understand their needs and requirements and to help them to succeed
  • Ability and willingness to work and thrive in a demanding product landscape
  • Experience in understanding and maintaining large and sophisticated code bases to help keep them clean and maintainable
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies
  • Contributions to open-source projects and working with the community is a plus

Expected Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $139,000 -- $257,550 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In Colorado, the pay range for this position is $155,700 - $225,450
In Illinois, the pay range for this position is $155,700 - $225,450
In Washington, the pay range for this position is $161,700 - $234,150

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
