Field Data Collection Vehicle Operator Location: Tampa-St.Petersburg-Clearwater, FL Schedule: Full-Time (40+ hours/week) Duration: 3Month Contract (potential for extension) About the Role We are hiring Field Data Collection Vehicle Operators to support onroad data collection for advanced vehicle systems. This is a field execution role-your primary responsibility is operating vehicles and following defined procedures to safely and consistently collect highquality data. Driving is the job. Success in this role depends on reliability, safety, attention to detail, and strict adherence to protocols-not engineering judgment or improvisation. Required Prior Experience * Professional driving experience (delivery, rideshare, fleet, trucking, etc.) * Field operations or data collection experience * Experience in safetycritical or proceduredriven environments What Success Looks Like A successful operator: * Completes assigned routes with zero safety incidents * Follows procedures exactly-no shortcuts * Communicates clearly and flags issues early * Produces usable, highquality data with no operatorcaused errors * Shows up on time, every time This role is ideal for individuals who value structure, consistency, and ownership of their work. What You'll Do * Safely operate companyprovided vehicles on public roads * Drive assigned routes 6-8 hours per day for data collection and mapping * Execute defined driving and data collection protocols * Perform daily pretrip vehicle inspections and system checks * Conduct basic system calibrations and firstline troubleshooting (training provided) * Support equipment setup physically and procedurally * Monitor invehicle systems during active data collection * Coordinate daily with operations teams on routes and schedules * Ensure collected data is transferred according to instructions * Document and report issues clearly, accurately, and promptly * Maintain professionalism, safety, and compliance at all times Role Boundaries (Important) This role does not include: * Designing tests * Analyzing data * Making independent system changes * Overriding protocols Escalation is expected and encouraged-if something doesn't seem right, you stop and report it. Required Qualifications * Valid U.S. Driver's License * Clean driving record (background check and MVR required) * Legally authorized to work in the U.S. * Ability to drive 6-8 hours per day * Comfortable with repetitive, rulesbased work * Reliable, punctual, and safetyfocused * Able to work independently without direct supervision * Basic computer and technical skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to lift and handle equipment up to 25 lbs Work Requirements * Fulltime (40+ hours per week); overtime may be required * Day, night, and weekend shifts may be required with advance notice * Primary work performed on public roads * Occasional longdistance driving * Occasional travel for training * Comfortable with prolonged sitting and handson vehicle work Who Thrives in This Role * Individuals who take pride in doing things the right way, every time * Selfdisciplined workers who don't need constant supervision * Drivers with a professional, safetyfirst mindset * Candidates who value structure, accountability, and consistency Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Tampa, FL.
