The Production Planning Manager and lead production planning, scheduling, and material coordination that keeps our aerospace operations running smoothly. This role drives execution of the Master Production Schedule (MPS), ensures material availability, and leads a multishift planning team to support ontime delivery and operational excellence.


Responsibilities:



  • Lead a multishift planning team, ensuring clear communication, strong shifttoshift execution, and standardized processes.
  • Translate SIOP and MPS plans into daily/weekly production schedules that support customer delivery commitments.
  • Release and prioritize work orders, monitor progress, and drive recovery actions when risks arise.
  • Ensure component and material availability through effective MRP execution and collaboration with Supply Chain, Operations, and Logistics.
  • Optimize material flow between warehouse, WIP, and production with support from water spiders.
  • Analyze capacity and constraints, identify bottlenecks, and partner with Operations on solutions.
  • Own ERP data accuracy (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, routings, etc.) and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support inventory health, min/max reviews, and cycle count accuracy.
  • Track key KPIs including schedule adherence, shortages, inventory accuracy, and OTD.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or similar.
  • 4+ years of production or material planning experience (aerospace/regulated industry a plus).
  • Strong MPS/MRP and ERP knowledge.
  • Advanced Excel skills; Power BI a plus.
  • Familiarity with AS9100.
  • APICS CPIM/CSCP preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience with SIOP strongly preferred.



Work Environment:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a typical office environment. The employee may also occasionally be exposed to moderate cold and moderate heat. Exposure to the production facility includes loud noise, fumes, and moving equipment.
