Overview

The Incentives & Investments Claim Capability Manager is a critical role within Global Payouts, responsible for the end to end operational capability, control integrity, and continuous evolution of Microsoft's Incentives and Investment Claims ecosystem. This role acts as the Claims capability owner and operational authority for claims processes that enable accurate, compliant, and timely partner payouts at global scale. The individual will partner closely with Finance, Sales, Engineering, Controls & Compliance, and vendor teams to ensure processes are well designed, audit ready, scalable, and lead our Autonomous Claims directive.

The role plays a key part in operational excellence, risk management, and transformation, ensuring Microsoft can safely scale incentives programs while maintaining a strong compliance and control posture.

Responsibilities

Claims & Incentives Capability Ownership

  • Own end to end operational capability for Incentives and Investment Claims.
  • Define, document, and evolve claims validation, approval, and payout processes.
  • Ensure operational readiness for new programs, launches, and changes.

Transformation & Automation

  • Drive continuous improvement through process simplification and automation.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements for engineering and tooling partners.
  • Lead strategic initiatives such as Autonomous Claims and process digitization.
  • Reduce manual effort while improving accuracy, scalability, and resilience.

Vendor & Execution Oversight

  • Provide clear operational direction and expectations to vendor delivery teams.
  • Ensure vendor execution aligns to Microsoft standards, controls, and timelines.
  • Balance delivery, oversight, and performance management.

Cross Functional Leadership & Communication

  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Engineering, and Compliance.
  • Provide clear, concise updates for senior leaders and executive forums.
  • Serve as a trusted subject matter expert for claims and incentives capability.

Controls, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Act as Microsoft FTE SOX control owner for assigned claims and payout controls.
  • Partner with Controls & Compliance on SOX walkthroughs, testing, audits, and remediation.
  • Ensure processes are executed as designed, properly documented, and evidenced.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate operational, financial, and compliance risks.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 2+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years experience in Finance Operations, Business Operations, or Process Management, owning and scaling complex global operational capabilities in large, matrixed organizations.
  • Knowledge of controls, compliance, and audit-driven environments; ability to translate business needs into operational, process, and system requirements.
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills, including requirements gathering and prototype reviews.
  • Experience with Incentives, Claims, Payouts, and partner ecosystem operations.
  • Experience with automation, workflow tools, and AI-enabled operational solutions.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, work independently, and drive outcomes with minimal direction.
  • Ownership mindset with design, development, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Learning mindset with ability to self-learn, implement, and deploy solutions.

Process Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
