Job Summary
The Incentive Compensation Operations Analyst is responsible for managing end-to-end data operations that support variable compensation programs, including monthly commissions and quarterly bonus plans. This role oversees the transition, maintenance, and accuracy of compensation data pipelines from source systems such as Sales and HR into the incentive compensation management platform. Acting as both a functional and technical system administrator, the analyst ensures accurate data processing, system configuration, documentation, and timely communication with stakeholders to support smooth compensation cycles. Job Responsibilities
Extract data from internal systems, including Sales and HR platforms
Consolidate, transform, and validate data using Excel and PowerQuery
Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness
Upload, manage, and maintain data within the incentive compensation system
Process manual data adjustments based on manager requests
Export finalized reports and submit validated data to Payroll and other stakeholders
Serve as the functional and technical administrator of the incentive compensation platform
Manage backend system configurations and maintain system integrity
Troubleshoot data discrepancies and resolve processing issues
Maintain documentation of incentive agreements, workflows, and system processes
Act as the primary point of contact for compensation-related inquiries
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and resolve issues
Manage recurring monthly and quarterly compensation cycles and overlapping deadlines
Monitor payment processing timelines to ensure timely and accurate payouts
Job Requirements
Experience managing compensation data, commissions processing, or related financial operations
Strong data management and analytical skills
Proficiency in Excel; advanced functions such as PowerQuery, pivot tables, XLOOKUP, and INDEX/MATCH preferred
SQL skills highly preferred, including the ability to query and manipulate data
Python experience preferred, particularly for data automation or manipulation
Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehousing platforms preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and resolve issues with minimal supervision
Highly organized and process-driven mindset
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field preferred Work Experience
Experience in compensation operations, financial data analysis, business operations, or related roles supporting commission or bonus programs preferred
