Group: Marketing + Communications Position: Senior Marketing + Communications Strategist Location: Indianapolis, IN (on site) We are seeking a strategic, creative, and highly collaborative Senior Marketing + Communications Strategist to join the Marketing + Communications team at American Structurepoint. This individual will work full-time in office at our Indianapolis design center. This role is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing and communications strategies that advance our Architecture team, while simultaneously advancing the company's mission and brand. This individual will develop and implement a variety of paid, earned, and owned media tactics to effectively convey our architecture initiatives, including our people, projects, and areas of expertise. In this role you will work closely with members of the Marketing + Communications team, senior leadership, and subject matter experts in our Architecture group to ensure initiatives are effectively implemented. This includes coordination of paid ads, website and other digital platforms, social media, public relations, events, etc. The ideal candidate brings strong writing skills, strategic thinking, exceptional project coordination abilities, and graphic design expertise. This role serves as both a strategic communicator and hands-on graphic designer, responsible for conceptualizing and producing high-quality visual materials that support marketing initiatives, proposals, and brand storytelling across print and digital platforms.
Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing & Communications
Develop and implement communication plans, marketing campaigns, and storytelling strategies that support our Architecture team.
- Identify target audiences and craft tailored messaging across internal and external platforms.
- Manage content calendars and support marketing initiatives across digital, print, and multimedia channels.
- Write clear, compelling content and support brand visibility for articles, our website, paid ads, client communications and collateral, award submissions, presentation abstracts for conferences and trade shows, award submissions, and social media.
- Design marketing and communication materials consistent with the brand-style guidelines for our Architecture team.
Content Creation & Messaging
- Collaborate with designers, writers, videographers, and the broader marketing team to produce cohesive, high-quality content.
- Maintain brand voice, consistency, and storytelling integrity across all communication channels.
Graphic Design & Visual Communication
- Conceptualize, design, and produce proposals, marketing collateral, advertisements, presentations, and sales materials that align with brand standards and strategic objectives.
- Develop strong layout-driven designs that integrate typography, photography, iconography, and data visualization to clearly communicate complex information.
- Execute designs across both print and digital media, ensuring consistency, quality, and attention to detail throughout production.
- Manage design files and templates to ensure efficiency, brand consistency, and scalability across teams.
- Prepare files for print and digital distribution, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with other members of the marketing and communications team to understand marketing needs and provide strategic communication support.
- Partner with our Architecture team's leadership and staff members to gain an understanding of the business goals for the group.
- Assist in planning and developing materials and preparing attendees for conferences and tradeshows.
- Support change management, employee engagement, and internal communication initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with writers, proposal coordinators, and marketing strategists to translate content into compelling visual narratives.
- Present design concepts to internal stakeholders and articulate design rationale with confidence.
- Incorporate feedback while maintaining design integrity and brand consistency.
Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Track and analyze communications performance and campaign engagement.
- Recommend adjustments to improve reach, clarity, and impact.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, communication technologies, and best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Visual Communications or related fields.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience in marketing, communications, or content strategy.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities with experience managing multiple priorities.
- Experience developing and executing communication plans or marketing campaigns.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and leaders.
- Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, content management systems, and social media tools.
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy for both print and digital applications.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong emphasis on InDesign; experience with Photoshop and Illustrator required.
- Knowledge of print production processes and experience working with vendors and printers.
- Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with technical or architectural graphics, renderings, or visualization tools is preferred.
- Experience designing proposals or marketing materials within a professional services or architecture/engineering environment is preferred.
