Exciting Opportunity at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center: Join RNA Therapeutics Lab as a GMP RNA Manufacture Specialist!

The Olayan Center for Cancer Vaccines,a cornerstoneof MSK's immuno-oncology transformation,launcheda new RNA Therapeutics Lab and is seeking a GMP RNA Manufacture Specialist to join from the ground up!In this role, you willdirectlycontribute to the development of mRNA-based personalized cancer vaccines, supporting immune manufacturing, characterization, and innovation, helping accelerate the translation of innovative vaccines into clinical use.

Role Overview:

  • GMP manufacture RNA-based drug substance and drug product, from DNA template to final drug product.
  • Onboard and maintain RNA manufacturing equipment to ensure proper and continuous activity.
  • Collaborate with the upstream group and GMP analyst to implement process improvements and tech transfer new RNA technologies.
  • Continue purification development efforts initially on tangential flow filtration, but also investigating other purification methods, including chromatography, magnetic bead separation, etc. Cross-train with GMP analyst for redundancy, validation and qualification.
  • Agile problem-solving for rapid and compliant turnaround time to release RNA personalized medicines.
  • Generate and maintain compliant SOP's.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in biochemistry, biomedical engineering, or a related field and at least 4 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of experience.
  • Ability to perform all aspects of RNA-LNP production, including DNA template production, in vitro transcription, tangential flow filtration, and LNP formulation
  • Experience with performing and building up GMP operations
  • Expert laboratory skills and the ability to handle diverse tasks in a GMP setting.

Additional Information:

  • Location: NYC; Zuckerman Research Center

Pay Range: $82,000.00 - $131,200.00 FSLA Status: Exempt
