Summary of role
We are seeking a visionary Senior Systems Architect to serve as the strategic backbone of Lantheus' modern infrastructure evolution. This isn't just a technical role. It's a partnership position where you'll shape the future of how we operate across on-premises, colocation, cloud, and disaster recovery environments. You'll be a key player who bridges the gap between deep technical mastery and business-driven innovation, transforming infrastructure from a cost center into a competitive advantage. In this pivotal role, you'll architect seamless experiences across Microsoft 365, hybrid virtualization platforms, and AI-driven automation while serving as a trusted advisor to leadership on technology investments that drive measurable cost savings. If you're a systems polymath who owns outcomes end-to-end, thrives at the intersection of security and productivity, and sees infrastructure as the foundation for business transformation, this is your opportunity to leave a lasting imprint on Lantheus' technological future.

This position is based in Massachusetts and requires a presence on-site (two/three) days per week, and open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions

* Design and optimize infrastructure spanning on-premises datacenters (VMware ESXi, Nutanix AHV), colocation facilities, and multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS), ensuring seamless workload mobility and resilience across all tiers.

* Serve as the authoritative voice on M365 architecture, driving adoption of advanced capabilities including Microsoft Purview for data governance, eDiscovery for compliance, and Teams for enterprise collaboration.

* Govern and optimize collaboration platforms across Microsoft Teams, ensuring seamless integrations, security compliance, and adoption strategies that keep the workforce connected.

* Architect and govern identity infrastructure leveraging Okta for workforce identity, designing sophisticated Okta Workflows for automation, and implementing SAML/OIDC integrations that enable zero-friction, zero-trust access across the enterprise.

* Pioneer AI orchestration initiatives that eliminate toil, accelerate provisioning, and introduce intelligent automation across infrastructure operations, positioning Lantheus at the forefront of AIOps adoption.

* Own the end-to-end endpoint strategy encompassing Microsoft Intune for modern management, SCCM for legacy workloads, and Tanium for real-time visibility, third-party patching, and endpoint hygiene at scale. Ensure devices are secure, compliant, and optimized regardless of location.

* Collaborate hand-in-hand with the security team to prioritize, remediate, and validate vulnerability findings, embedding security-by-design principles into every infrastructure decision.

* Design and validate DR architectures that guarantee business continuity, leveraging enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Rubrik) for data protection, conducting regular failover exercises, and maintaining RTO/RPO commitments that protect Lantheus' operations.

* Deliver strategic insights into infrastructure spending, identifying consolidation opportunities, right-sizing recommendations, and licensing optimizations that translate technical decisions into tangible financial impact.

* Serve as the primary technical liaison for managed service providers and technology vendors, establishing SLAs, tracking performance against commitments, and ensuring operational excellence through regular service reviews and escalation management.

* Engage with stakeholders across the organization to understand business objectives, translating them into infrastructure roadmaps that accelerate Lantheus' strategic initiatives.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Certifications such as MCSE, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, VMware VCP, Nutanix NCP, or Okta Certified Professional are highly valued.

* 10+ years of progressive experience in systems architecture, with demonstrated mastery across hybrid infrastructure environments spanning on-premises, colocation, and cloud platforms.

* Deep expertise in virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere/ESXi administration and Nutanix AHV/AOS, with proven experience in workload migration, capacity planning, and performance optimization.

* Comprehensive Microsoft 365 proficiency, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Microsoft Purview (data classification, DLP, retention), and eDiscovery for legal and compliance requirements.

* Unified communications expertise across enterprise collaboration platforms including Microsoft Teams, with experience managing integrations, governance, and user adoption at scale.

* Identity and access management authority, with hands-on experience implementing Okta (including Okta Workflows for lifecycle automation), SAML 2.0, OIDC/OAuth protocols, and IAM governance frameworks.

* Endpoint management expertise spanning Microsoft Intune for modern device management, SCCM/MECM for traditional workloads, and Tanium for real-time endpoint visibility, third-party patching, and compliance enforcement.

* AI and automation fluency, with experience leveraging AI orchestration tools, scripting languages (PowerShell, Python), and infrastructure-as-code principles to drive operational efficiency.

* Security-minded architecture approach, with demonstrated experience partnering with security teams on vulnerability management, remediation prioritization, and compliance initiatives.

* Financial acumen for technology investments, with a track record of identifying cost optimization opportunities and communicating ROI to executive stakeholders.

* MSP and vendor management experience, with a proven ability to establish SLAs, conduct service reviews, hold providers accountable to contractual commitments, and drive continuous improvement in outsourced operations.

* Exceptional communication and partnership skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value and influence decisions at all organizational levels.
