About the Role

MWH is seeking a senior-level Forensic Scheduler to support complex water and wastewater construction projects across the U.S. This role is primarily remote, with approximately 40-50% travel to project sites, meetings, and dispute-related proceedings, as required.

The Forensic Scheduler will independently lead the analysis, development, and evaluation of detailed project schedules and delay analyses in support of potential and active construction claims and disputes. This role requires a strong command of CPM scheduling, forensic delay methodologies, and professional judgment developed through experience on large, complex construction projects.

The position partners closely with MWH's Legal, Risk Management, and Project teams to assess schedule impacts, support claims strategy, and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including attorneys and executives.

Essential Functions

  • Independently develop, update, and analyze complex CPM project schedules using Primavera P6 and related tools.

  • Perform forensic schedule analyses to identify delays, disruptions, accelerations, and concurrency issues affecting project performance.

  • Apply recognized delay analysis methodologies (e.g., Time Impact Analysis, Windows Analysis, As-Planned vs. As-Built) appropriate to project and dispute context.

  • Review and interpret project documentation, including contracts, change orders, schedules, correspondence, daily reports, and cost data, to support defensible schedule analyses.

  • Prepare clear, well-supported written reports, exhibits, and presentations for use in claims, disputes, and litigation.

  • Collaborate with project teams, risk management, legal counsel, and external advisors to gather information and align on schedule-related strategies.

  • Support the development of expert reports, affidavits, and dispute documentation in coordination with internal and external legal teams.

  • Participate in mediations, arbitrations, or depositions as a technical resource; support expert testimony and provide testimony when required and appropriate.

  • Proactively identify schedule-related risks and provide recommendations to mitigate potential impacts on ongoing and future projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline required; advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (PMP, PSP, AACE) preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in construction scheduling on large, complex construction projects (e.g., heavy civil, infrastructure, or EPC environments)

  • 3+ years of experience performing forensic schedule analysis, delay analysis, or claims support within construction disputes, risk, or consulting environments.

  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6; experience with additional scheduling or data analysis tools is a plus.

  • Strong working knowledge of construction contracts, delay analysis methodologies (e.g., Time Impact Analysis, Windows Analysis, As-Planned vs. As-Built), and schedule-related claims.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze schedule impacts related to delays, disruptions, acceleration, and changes.

  • Experience preparing clear, defensible written reports and presentations for legal, executive, and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, risk management, legal counsel, and external consultants.

  • Experience supporting mediations, arbitrations, depositions, or litigation related to construction schedule disputes is preferred; expert testimony experience is a plus.

  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and professional judgment developed through exposure to real-world project and claims scenarios.

Who This Role Is Best Suited For

  • This role is best suited for experienced construction schedulers who have progressed into forensic, claims, or dispute-support work and are comfortable independently analyzing complex schedules under legal and contractual scrutiny. Successful candidates bring strong professional judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly explain technical findings to non-technical audiences.

Compensation

  • The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $125,000- $165,000 annually, depending on experience, level of forensic scheduling expertise, and qualifications.
