We're excited to introduce a newly created full-time position supporting infusion therapy within our Rheumatology practice.In this role, you'll work closely with a dedicated team caring for patients with chronic autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. You'll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients who rely on ongoing infusion treatments and play an important role in helping them manage their health and improve their quality of life.

  • Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification required within 3 months of start date. Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN) preferred or must obtain within 3 years of start date.
  • Three years of relevant acute clinical experience required with one year oncology experience preferred.
  • Might need to work at both Waldo and Pen Bay Cancer Care departments, as needed.

This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience.

For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign-on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!
o Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
o Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Summary:

The MH Registered Nurse II - Infusion Therapy, Rheumatology role provides high quality care to patients and families calling or presenting for care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.

MH RN II: This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level included automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I - must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  3. Experience: One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).
