DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Social Worker Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the social services provided to the residents of the facility. Your duties will include planning, directing, and controlling a full range of social services, such as counseling and case management, to ensure the well-being of the residents. Additionally, you will provide leadership and guidance to your team, promoting positive change, ethical conduct, teamwork, and diversity and inclusiveness. You will also manage the operations of the Social Services Department, including establishing policies and procedures, assigning duties and responsibilities, and maintaining standards for performance. Furthermore, you will oversee administrative and clerical functions related to resident assessments, admissions, transfers, discharges, and the resident council.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment (7.5 hours per day/37.5 hours per week)
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, rotating days and weekends, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Social Worker 2 or a Forensic Social Worker 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); and a master's degree in social work or social welfare; or
  • Three years of professional social work experience, including one year in a consultative, administrative, advisory, or lead work capacity; and a master's degree in social work or social welfare.
Condition of Employment:
  • You must be in possession of a valid license as a Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
