THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position involves leading the overnight shift at a Fine Wine & Good Spirits Store, where you will oversee and assign tasks to lower-level associates. In addition to supervising staff, you will be expected to perform routine duties such as stocking shelves, creating displays, maintaining store cleanliness, unloading shipments, and processing wholesale and retail orders, all while adhering to specific marketing plans. You will also be responsible for accurately submitting time and attendance records for the overnight team. Routine store duties are performed and directed independently, while guidance and instruction will come from their General Manager for new or unusual circumstances. Work is reviewed by their General Manager through conferences and reports for adherence to standards for their overall performance.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • FREE on-site parking
  • Full-time employment, 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Work hours are 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work hours may vary based on operational need.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $38,768 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Six months of retail sales work.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
