This role is central to advancing our quantum software roadmap and requires passion in software development, cloud, AI, and quantum computing. As a Software Engineer in Microsoft Quantum, you will contribute to efforts in building a robust quantum software stack, including software development kits (SDKs), user experience (UX), Application Programming Interface (APIs), and hybrid cloud infrastructure for quantum computing. You will apply best practices in software engineering and large language models (LLMs) to build the next generation of experiences and software geared toward quantum algorithm developers, quantum error correction researchers, and quantum scientists. Your work will directly contribute to external facing products for Microsoft Quantum, helping shape the future of quantum computing. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
