A Brief Overview

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation raises philanthropic funds to advance CHOP's mission and vision. The Foundation is hiring a Clinical Annual Giving Officer to develop andmaintainphilanthropic relationships with donors and prospects to support divisions within the Department of Pediatrics. The primary responsibility of this role is tosolicitdonations from individuals who have the capacity to give $1,500 or more annually to CHOP, raising four- and five-figure gifts with the long-term goal of developing a pipeline of donors for potential major and planned gifts in sustained support for CHOP. This position reports toaSeniorDirector of Development, Pediatrics within Clinical Development on the Foundation's Individual Giving team.

Although experience in complex medical and healthcare organizations is preferred, individuals with experience/transferable skills from related fields are welcome to apply. About the Department of Pediatrics: CHOP delivers the most advanced pediatric primary and subspecialty care to children throughout the United States and around the world. The Department of Pediatrics is highly regarded nationally and internationally and is consistently named among the premier academic pediatric departments in the United States. We offer a supportive environment for both clinical and academic work, including support forcutting-edgeresearch through CHOP's Research Institute. Over the past decade, the Department has continued to grow in breadth and depth of clinical programs, researchactivity, and education initiatives.

Reporting Structure: This position reports toSenior Director of Development, Pediatrics.

Schedule: Remote/Hybrid with on-site meetings. Youare required tobelocatedwithin a commutable distance to our Philadelphia campus.

Essential Functions

  • *Serve as a frontline fundraiser for assigned divisions in the Department of Pediatrics to secure philanthropic support from patient families and others who are inspired by CHOP's mission.
  • Maintaina portfolio of 150 donors and prospects who have the capacity to make four- and five-figure gifts to support divisions in the Department of Pediatrics, meeting annual fundraising goals and expectations.
  • Work entrepreneurially toidentifyprospects and cultivate new relationships on behalf of CHOP. Develop and implement strategies for donor cultivation, engagement, solicitation, and stewardship in collaboration with Foundation colleagues.
  • Conduct an agreed-upon minimum of visits and solicitations each year via phone, virtual, and in-person meetings, with a primary focus on four- and five-figure solicitations.
  • Engage CHOP faculty and staff, board members, senior leadership, and others as needed.
  • Collaborate with major gift officers and other colleagues across the Foundation to develop a long-term pipeline for major and planned gifts and support the donor continuum.
  • Maintainconstituent records in the Foundation's constituent relationship management system.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

Experience Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years of business development, sales or fundraising related experience Required
  • At least three (3) years of business development, sales or fundraising related experience in an academic, healthcare or non-profit environment Preferred

SALARY RANGE:

$81,670.00 - $104,130.00 Annually

Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.
