Reporting within Jax Mice Clinical Research Services (JMCRS) the Product Manager for Cell Models drives implementation and expansion of new and existing products to capture and retain market share. To ensure seamless product introduction and lifecycle management, the Product Manager for Cell Models develops value propositions, provides sales tools and training to all customer-facing groups within the organization, supports sales through customer visits and presentations, evaluates the target market, and develops required content in collaboration with marketing to support promotional activities and campaigns. The Product Manager incumbent works with internal stakeholders to establish operational processes to ensure the successful commercialization of new and existing products and to provide the best customer experience throughout product launch and lifecycle. The Product Manager for Cell Models also participates in and develops financial forecasting to include net, operating, and gross margins, as well as revenue targets for their respective products, in collaboration with the Portfolio Managers. The Product Manager for Cell Models develops and participates in strategies for pricing, deal management, quality management, and VOC activities. Product Manager grade levels are differentiated by the level of supervision required, the extent of independent judgment exercised, project complexity, problemsolving proficiency, the potential impact of errors, and the breadth and depth of experience, education, background, and specialized expertise. The salary range is $74,772 - $125,184. Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The hired candidate will work remotely but will be required to travel to JAX locations, conferences, or meetings up to 30%. Key Responsibilities (What you contribute): *Drives the implementation and expansion of new and existing products to capture and retain market share through product launch, lifecycle management, and process and operational improvements. Responsibilities include monitoring the market, developing competitive analyses, defining product vision, aligning stakeholders, and developing product value propositions, features, and capabilities. * Works closely with the Cell Models Importation Manager and builds strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues in JAX Faculty, R&D, operations, and marketing *Achieves financial metrics of P&L and revenue growth *Supports customerfacing teams such as sales, technical support, customer service, and scientific engagement *Develops strong collaborative relationships with external stakeholders to advance the development and importation of new cell models *Partners with Marketing to develop and implement tactics that deliver on the overarching marketing plan *Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: *Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree/PhD preferred. *Demonstrated experience in the commercialization of cell models, stem cell models, or other advanced in vitro model platforms. * At least 3 years of relevant experience within the life sciences industry. *Ability to motivate and influence others. *Excellent human relation, communication and listening, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. *Demonstrated successful experience in formulating, implementing and evaluating complex plans and programs. *Proven ability to make important decisions under pressure and tight deadlines. *Ability to travel up to 30% of the time. #CA-DS5 About JAX: The Jackson Laboratory is an independent, nonprofit biomedical research institution with a National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Center and nearly 3,000 employees in locations across the United States (Maine, Connecticut, California),Japan andChina.
