Salary: $180,000 - $260,000
Schedule: 980 Available

Olin is seeking a results-driven and visionary Continuous Optimization & Reliability Excellence (CORE) Director to lead a cross-functional engineering organization focused on delivering operational excellence across our chemical manufacturing operations. This senior leader will oversee strategic initiatives in process optimization, asset reliability and process safety. The role is critical to driving plant performance, cost efficiency, risk reduction, and long-term sustainability. A key portion of this role will be to foster a high level of leveraging of technical knowledge and expertise and resources amongst the sites in-scope and drive to a continuous learning organization.

This position will lead and develop high-performing teams across multiple engineering disciplines, including Improvement Engineers, Project Managers, and Reliability Engineers. The successful candidate will drive a culture of continuous improvement, risk mitigation, data-driven decision-making, and engineering discipline.

CORE Director Essential Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the continuous optimization and asset reliability strategy aligned with corporate and site goals.
  • Direct and develop a team that include managers, engineers, and technical professionals across multiple disciplines.
  • Drive measurable improvements in OEE, MTBF, maintenance cost reduction, energy efficiency, and process throughput.
  • Drive the development and implementation of unit reliability improvement plans with clear targets and associated KPI's to track progress.
  • Lead root cause investigations for recurring reliability issues and chronic process variability.
  • Implement advanced analytics tools to monitor asset performance and predict failures.
  • Support PSM programs with mechanical integrity (MI) and MOC processes.
  • Lead the development of dashboards with the appropriate KPI's for each discipline with the objective to track progress against targets in addition to compliance.
  • Perform periodic KPI performance metrics reviews with regional leadership.

CORE Director Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related); Master's Degree* preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in chemical or industrial manufacturing with increasing responsibility.
  • 5+ years of engineering leadership experience overseeing multi-discipline teams.
  • Deep understanding of reliability best practices (RCM, FMEA, RCA), process optimization, and process safety management (PSM).
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable improvements in uptime, cost, and productivity.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to balance long-term improvements with short-term operation's needs.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid U.S. Driver's License
