Summary: The Marketing Manager serves as an advanced technical specialist responsible for executing, managing, and optimizing marketing campaigns that support ACS programs, products, and initiatives. This role owns end-to-end email and digital marketing execution, including campaign build, segmentation, testing, launch, and performance analysis. The Manager applies deep technical expertise in marketing automation platforms and analytics tools to drive engagement, efficiency, and continuous improvement while operating without direct people management responsibility.

This exempt position will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing and Analytics in the Division of Integrated Communication. It is based in our Chicago office and is a hybrid role: 3 days per week in the office/2 days per week remote.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $84,000 - $90,000 (commensurate with related experience).

Major Responsibilities:


Email and Digital Campaign Execution

  • Build, test, launch, and manage email and digital marketing campaigns using marketing automation platforms.
  • Execute campaign workflows including segmentation, personalization, scheduling, and quality assurance.


Marketing Automation and Technical Ownership

  • Serve as technical owner for marketing automation tools, including list management, templates, and automation logic.
  • Implement behavior-based, triggered, and automated campaigns to support engagement goals.


Performance Measurement and Optimization

  • Monitor campaign performance metrics and analyze results to assess effectiveness.
  • Recommend and implement optimizations to improve open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and overall performance.


Content and Creative Collaboration

  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, and creative teams to develop campaign messaging and assets.
  • Ensure campaign content aligns with ACS voice, brand standards, and audience needs.


Survey Support and Audience Insights

  • Support development and execution of surveys related to marketing initiatives.
  • Analyze survey and engagement data to inform future campaign approaches.


Process Improvement and Best Practices

  • Identify opportunities to improve campaign execution processes, templates, and automation workflows.
  • Document technical procedures and best practices for marketing operations.


Required Education and/or Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, communications, business, or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • At least 4-7 years of professional experience on a high-volume marketing team that uses multichannel marketing techniques is preferred.
  • Healthcare, membership organization, or association experience a plus.
  • Experience with Marketo or a similar marketing engagement platform is required.
  • Must have multichannel and email marketing experience, incorporating automation and other techniques.
  • Must have experience with personalization and segmentation marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting campaign performance data.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); experience with PowerBI and other analytics tools preferred.
