Production Manager

Job Purpose:

Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Manages the activities of the team and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development, and performance management of the staff. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations regarding and, at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

- Manage team activities, staffing decisions, and performance management.

- Prioritize production schedules based on equipment efficiency and materials supply.

- Monitor production builds and provide weekly updates to the team and customers.

- Interact with planning, stockroom, and purchasing teams to ensure a smooth workflow.

- Identify capacity constraints and work with HR for recruiting and interviewing.

- Maintain compliance with ISO9001 and ISO14001 requirements.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience/military training).

- Minimum of 4+ years experience as a Manager with direct reports.

- Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle or SAP.

- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing principles.

- Demonstrated ability to mentor a workforce and implement process improvements.

Salary Range(annual): $110,000 - $130,000

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
