Job Summary

The Quality Materials Handler III supports the Quality Management System within a distribution center environment by performing audits, inspections, and verification activities to ensure procedural compliance and product quality. This role provides real-time feedback to operational teams, analyzes service trends, and helps prevent quality issues before they escalate. The position requires strong attention to detail, accurate documentation practices, and the ability to follow established procedures.

Job Responsibilities




  • Perform routine quality control audits to ensure procedural compliance



  • Conduct daily verification of picking activities



  • Report daily service issues during Tier meetings and communicate findings to appropriate teams



  • Analyze and report trends related to service or quality issues



  • Provide real-time feedback and corrective guidance to prevent recurring errors



  • Remove damaged products from pickable locations



  • Conduct spot-check inspections and audits of production operations



  • Participate in the internal audit program



  • Assist with document control, record retention, and sample retention activities as needed



  • Perform additional duties as assigned




Job Requirements




  • High school diploma or equivalent



  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse operations experience



  • Ability to follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP)



  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals



  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and communicate effectively with small groups



  • Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook



  • Experience with SAGE or Great Plains ERP preferred



  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document results



  • Understanding of distribution processes and ability to identify deviations from approved procedures



  • Ability to stand for extended periods during the workday




Work Experience




  • At least 2 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center operations
