Overview
The Identity and Network Access engineering team builds and manages Microsoft's authentication services for all Microsoft's Cloud -- Azure, Microsoft 365, Xbox, Dynamics, etc. We are the Core Authentication team, and we are building and running the authentication service behind Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) which includes capabilities such as Managed Identities for Azure and a full-fledged backup authentication service covering a broad range of scenarios. Our engineering employees have technical experience, customer insights, and a clear point of view that comes from first-hand, very large-scale experience. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can join us to drive the evolution of the Managed Identities to meet the scale demands of tomorrow. You will have the opportunity to design and develop the next generation of Managed Identities for Azure with orders of magnitude more scale,andinteroperability while meeting the feature-richness of first-party platforms like Azure. You will alsohave the opportunity todesign changes to the Microsoft Entra ID Core Authentication Service as it provides the authentication platform for Managed Identities. You will develop software and services at scale,innovating onthe latest technologies as the earliest adopters while mentoring other team members. Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
