| Job Duties |
The East Carolina University College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a faculty position with expertise in graduate advanced level nursing education (
MSN), nurse midwifery concentration. Faculty responsibilities include planning, being accountable for teaching courses in the graduate core and concentration-specific (nurse-midwifery) program, academic advising, developing and evaluating graduate-level nursing courses, and collaborating with clinical practicum preceptors. This position may also involve teaching courses in other College of Nursing departments, participation as a full-time faculty member, including attendance at faculty meetings and participation in committees/task forces.
The individual in this position may also serve as the Director of Nurse Midwifery Concentration.
Candidates will be considered for a 12-month full-time fixed-term, at a title/rank commiserate with education and experience.

| Minimum Education/Experience |
Minimum Qualifications Include:
- Requires a master's degree in nursing or a related field from an appropriately accredited institution.
- A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment.
- Certification in the faculty's specialty area is required for all advanced practice nurse applicants.
- A minimum of two years of clinical practice in a specialty area is required (Nurse Midwifery), and a national certification as a nurse-midwife.

A terminal degree in nursing or a closely related field is preferred (
DNP or PhD preferred ). Preference will be given to applicants with recent nursing education experience.
