Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE:


Perform a wide variety of duties to repair and maintain a normal range of machine spare parts and provide training of personnel as required to maintain quality and production requirements.



Pay rate: $22.00 HR with $2.00 HR shift premium


Shift: Night - 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM Rotating Shift Schedule





PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  • Assist setup person and supervisor in troubleshooting machine setup and run issues as needed. May also assist in gathering make ready parts needed for orders going into production equipment.
  • Work from production schedule, work orders, samples, special instructions, specification book, other verbal or written instructions and own knowledge of situation. Ability to input in Microsoft office
  • Use common hand tools, such as rubber hammer, wrenches, pliers, and measuring scale. Occasional use of drills, taps, hand saw, propane torch, soldering tools, and brazing tools, etc., as required.
  • Operate bench grinder, chain hoist of lift truck as required in performance of duties to lift, move, or position machine parts or material. Read blueprints and mark up prints as needed in order to update or change item in question.
  • As required or directed, troubleshoot, monitor operations, diagnose machine malfunction, and determine cause of problem.
  • Perform disassembly, repair work, and reassembly as required. Maintain parts inventory for department machines, including items such as perf wheels, small motors, controls, rollers, belting, tubing, and assorted fittings, nuts, and bolts.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High School Diploma
  • Inventory management experience preferred
  • Good basic math skills.
  • Work from production schedule, work orders, samples, special instructions, specification book, other verbal, written instructions, and own knowledge of procedures and practices.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, familiar with mechanical and minor electrical repair work and parts maintenance.
  • Basic PC and systems ability.
  • Demonstrated good performance in current role.
