What the day will look like

The Senior Client Advocate at Aon is a client-facing role responsible for ensuring exceptional client service. This position involves coordination with team members from start to finish, including receiving client submissions and finalizing agreement documents.

Senior Client Advocates serve as relationship managers between clients and brokers and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies.

Senior Client Advocates collaborate with internal teams such as Client Services, Accounting Advocates, and Compliance to develop account-specific strategies and maintain operational efficiency. They also mentor junior colleagues, including Client Advocate Trainees, by providing training and guidance on Aon's proprietary systems, compliance procedures, and best practices in reinsurance broking.

  • Learns and retains knowledge of the reinsurance broking process without supervision.
    • Receipt of submission from client
    • Request for quote from reinsurer
    • Quote from reinsurer and to client.
    • Firm order from client and to reinsurance market(s)
    • Invoicing
    • Evidence of Cover document production
  • Learns and applies knowledge of Aon's proprietary systems
  • Independently works with client services to answer queries.
  • Work with Internal Audit to file documentation and adhere to company compliance policies
  • Attends prescribed Aon My Learning courses.
  • Independently corresponding Accounting Advocates, Client Service Team, and other internal colleagues on account specific client strategies.
  • Without assistance and overview, learn to demonstrate pro-active engagement and communication with clients and broker teams.
  • Review and analyse claim details - Compare loss summaries from previous years to assess trends, identify discrepancies, and provide insights that support underwriting and placement decisions. Ensure accuracy in claims data and collaborate with brokers to address any client concerns related to past or ongoing claims. Prepare final client documentation and finalize within the system.

  • Accountability over account management, which includes supporting pre and post reinsurance placements.
  • Ability to communicate with clients and markets. Act as a liaison between brokers, clients, and markets, effectively communicating placement strategies, client needs, and market conditions. Provide clarity on coverage structures, terms, and negotiations to ensure placements align with client objectives and market standards.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Proven analytical skills - prior analytical and problem-solving experience from academic and/or business environment
  • 3+ years relevant work experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry
  • Coding experience is a plus
  • Bilingual candidates (Spanish & English) are highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products, with intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Access is a strong plus.
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple assignments, work well with minimal supervision and meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Mathamatics, a related field or equivalent years of industry experience required

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $65,000 to $90,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
