About the role:

As a Senior Manager, Fuel Manufacturing EHS you will provide strategic leadership, expert environmental guidance, and programmatic direction across the five Fuel Manufacturing industrial sites. The primary focus of this role is environmental compliance, sustainability advancement, global standards development, and implementation of EHS processes that ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production of commercial nuclear fuel.

You will report to the Director, Fuel Manufacturing EHS * Global Environment, Health & Safety.



Key Responsibilities:

Drive alignment of environmental programs and performance across all Fuel Manufacturing locations, ensuring rigorous compliance with international, national, and local regulations. The position is also responsible for establishing and monitoring site EHS improvement plans, promoting relationships with regulatory agencies, supporting community engagement efforts, and ensuring continuous improvement in both environmental and safety performance. Issues are frequently complex and require influencing diverse partners to adopt standardized practices

Environmental Compliance & Sustainability*



  • Lead environmental compliance strategy across all Fuel Manufacturing sites, ensuring adherence to complex and varied regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and govern global environmental policies, standards, and processes to lead consistency and regulatory excellence.
  • Oversee environmental permitting, reporting, waste management, air/water emissions programs, and sustainability programs.
  • Establish measurable environmental performance metrics and track progress against global EHS improvement plans.
  • Partner with Corporate EHS&S functions to integrate long-term sustainability goals into operational plans.
  • Coach, mentor, and develops a team of EHS subject matter experts.



Global Standards, Strategy Alignment, and Continuous Improvement



  • Develop and lead comprehensive cross-site EHS improvement roadmaps, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy.
  • Identify gaps and lead implementation of global processes, tools, and systems that strengthen EHS management capabilities.
  • Be the catalyst for change, promoting innovation, standardization, and systemic solutions.
  • Use advanced project management skills to ensure all programs are accomplished.
  • Ensure causal analysis quality and lead broad sharing of lessons learned across all sites.



Regulatory Engagement & Community Relations*



  • Build and maintain, proactive relationships with environmental and safety regulators.
  • Lead communication and engagement strategies with local communities, partners, and government agencies.
  • Represent Fuel Manufacturing sites during regulatory inspections, audits, and formal communications.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, specializing in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Safety.
  • 15+ years of EHS related experience
  • 10+ years of leadership/people management experience.
  • Experience in environmental compliance within a regulated industrial environment required.
  • Expertise in environmental laws, regulations, and compliance management in a nuclear manufacturing environment
  • Develop and implement global environmental and sustainability strategies.
  • Project management, organizational development, and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience leading EHS Management Systems and driving programmatic, data-driven improvements.
  • Experience collaborating with regulatory agencies across multiple jurisdictions.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $126,000 to $157,500 per year.
