Job Description




As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time - Overnight

Pay Rate: $19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements:

    20+ Years of Age

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government transportation location by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and security-related protocols, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site representatives and public agency partners as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards and unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and document unusual activity according to post orders.
  • Prepare timely, accurate reports of daily activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to supervision and/or appropriate authorities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
