The University of Virginia's number one ranked Department of Student Health and Wellness(SHW) provides a comprehensive range of medical, mental health, well-being, and disability support services to all enrolled undergraduate and graduate students. The University of Virginia's Medical Services, a unit within the Department of Student Health and Wellness, is seeking a Senior Inventory Management Specialist. The Senior Inventory Management Specialist oversees the operational management, compliance, and strategic coordination of medical supplies, medications, and related inventory functions across Student Health &Wellness (SHW). This position ensures accurate, efficient, and compliant inventory systems that support uninterrupted clinical operations. The Senior Inventory Management Specialist supervises the Inventory Senior Assistant and serves as the primary operational lead for inventory workflows, supply chain coordination, and data-driven forecasting. This role collaborates closely with the Assistant Director of Medical Operations on budgeting, financial stewardship, and policy implementation

Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant work experience. Experience: Five (5) plus years in Supply Chain Operations in a large Health System required. Preferred Qualifications
About the Position The anticipated hiring range for this position is $66,500-$88,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, 40 hours/week, benefits-eligible position with UVA benefits.The selected candidate will pass a background check and drug screen. This position will not sponsor applicants for work visas now or in the future. The role requires sitting for prolonged periods, frequently traveling; repetitive motion (computer tasks); proficient communication, auditory and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly; ability to lift/push/pull less than 20lbs. May be exposed to outdoor climate. This role includes both administrative work and physical activity including lifting and movement of medical supplies.
