Position Overview
| Essential Job Duties |
- This position involves contributing to a needs assessment and landscape study of STEM teen programs offered in informal learning sites.
- The position will involve project management, survey development and distribution, data cleaning, data analyses and preparation of and dissemination of results.
- Applicants must have a Ph.D in Psychology by the time of appointment. In addition, successful applicants will have prior experience working on large teams of researchers, program evaluators and museum professionals on STEM programming informal learning sites.
- Significant expertise in quantitative methods, including latent variable analyses such as Structural Equation Modeling and Latent Profile Analysis is preferred.
- Interest in qualitative data is also helpful.
- A significant track record of publication, excellent academic writing skills, and experience with data collection with informal learning sites, data management, and analysis of large datasets are also important for this project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The postdoctoral fellow's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: data collection, data management, data analysis, preparation of publications, grant applications, and conference presentations (both collaboratively and as lead author), and supervision and mentoring of graduate students and research assistants.
